As the first in-house graphic designer for Tridel's Delmanor Communities, my role involved shaping and enhancing Delmanor’s brand identity. Responsibilities included designing visually coherent and high-quality corporate advertisements and graphics, as well as creating fresh and modern materials and templates for programs and events.

Additional responsibilities involved assisting team members with ongoing visual needs, contributing to Delmanor’s social media content and driving user engagement with appealing design. This role overall involved ensuring effective brand communication and that all visual outputs from Delmanor were aesthetically strong and effective.

Anniversary Invitations

One of my first assignments was to create materials for the anniversary celebrations of three communities: Delmanor Prince Edward (10th anniversary), Northtown (15th anniversary), and Glen Abbey (20th anniversary). Keeping Delmanor's established branding guidelines in mind, I designed and created individual invitations, posters, welcome signage, wine and sizzler bottle stickers, and original logos to reflect the prestige and significance of each of these important milestones.

The 'Happy Hour' poster was created for the event to showcase the Delmanor-exclusive alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available to guests. I aimed to present the information as clearly and simply as possible, considering what details could be omitted; this poster focused more on promoting the drinks rather than the anniversary event itself. To effectively showcase these beverages, photographs of each were placed on matching slide-out bars emerging from opposite sides of the page.

Since these drinks had never been photographed before, it was also essential to input the correct prompts into the generative AI feature in Adobe Stock.

Delmanor Northtown Anniversary Invitation (Print) - Inside

Special consideration was given to the design of each invitation's printed layout. First, the invitation opens vertically rather than horizontally, which helps maintain a traditional and formal appearance.

I also paid close attention to the front and back covers of the invitation. I aimed to create a seamless connection between the two backgrounds, allowing them to blend into each other. I achieved this by using a flipped version of the 'white waves' background on the back cover, creating an upside-down effect in the final product.

This design choice ensures a smoother transition from the front to the back of the invitation, particularly if the recipient chooses to open it fully.

Anniversary Bottle Sticker: Print Layout

Glen Abbey 20th Anniversary Bottle Sticker

Creating this layout required incorporating all the essential information onto the branded sticker that would be placed on both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at the event. To differentiate between the two, I used distinct colored borders: black/grey for non-alcoholic drinks and red for alcoholic ones.

The final design was to prominently feature the community logo, anniversary crest, and important community information.

Anniversary Logos

For the anniversary logos (to be used in event materials), I created a base logo format that could easily be altered based on the years being celebrated. Delmanor's company colours and imagery were actively considered throughout the conceptual stage, as well as how the final logos needed to reflect the pride and honour each location should feel, having accomplished so many years of great service.

Considering this, elements integrated included serif fonts (adding an elegant, formal touch), stars (symbolizing excellence and achievement), the usage of silver in the colour palette (symbolizing sophistication and innovation/progress), and a decorative sash at the back to bring it all together. I also gave the anniversary number a realistically 'engraved' appearance for the full effect.

The invitations for these events at Delmanor Wynford were requested to be formatted as posters. However, for the sake of consistency, I aimed to align the layout with that of the anniversary invitation materials. This is most evident in the inclusion and positioning of the large, colourful header photograph.

The prominent photograph occupies a significant portion of the layout, which immediately captures viewers' attention and effectively communicates the poster's purpose before they even read the title.

ADVERTISEMENTS

ADVERTISEMENTS

Another major responsibility for me as a designer was assembling the adverts and graphics meant for major platforms and publications across Ontario. Once beginning my work on these adverts, I knew that I needed to provide significant yet subtle updates and refreshes. These included the addition of QR codes, using a cleaner and lighter version of the 'white waves' background, better positioning the ad images, as well as spacing out the elements (images, logos and text boxes) more neatly to ensure they all receive proper emphasis.

I also had the opportunity to help out with multiple photo shoots for the photographs used in these adverts. Doing so truly helped me gain perspective in the practice of taking photographs be used in advertising later on. Adequate lighting, angles, environments, composition, and placement of the photo subjects were actively considered throughout each shoot.

These adverts went on to appear in many noteworthy platforms and publications, including The Toronto Star, The Globe & Mail, The National Post, as well as in multiple programmes for The National Ballet of Canada and Mirvish Productions.

Corporate Adverts

QR Code Initiative

The integration of QR codes into the existing ad templates proved to be an interesting challenge. I needed to create space for the large square QR codes while ensuring there was adequate spacing between all elements. Overall, I aimed to achieve a clean and sleek look for this new template.

Many of these publications, such as those for Mirvish and The National Ballet of Canada, featured personalized QR codes. These codes were generated using a specialized QR code generator to track marketing campaigns and analyze data. UTM parameters, such as source, medium, and campaign, were included to identify and track ongoing user traffic. Feel free to scan any of the codes below to view the final product!

To seamlessly incorporate the QR code into the existing ad templates, I made sure to preserve the existing ads' formal appearance. I decided to add a red bar sliding in from the side, with rounded corners for a softer look. The QR code itself was placed on top, with rounded corners to match. A 'drop shadow' effect was also added to make the QR code appear more three-dimensional and prominent.

Most importantly, while ensuring the QR code was a large and prominent feature, I also focused on giving equal emphasis to the ad's logo and text for a balanced final product. Additional considerations included positioning the photographs effectively to quickly grab viewers' attention, as well as organizing the individual sets of contact information in a manner that would allow ample spacing between them, resulting in an overall neat appearance.

The formatting of the advertisements largely depended on the selected headline, which varied based on creative requests. Some headlines occupied more space than others, affecting the available space for other elements. Because of this, I often had to think creatively to ensure there was enough room for all components without causing any noticeable overcrowding.

Traditional Ad Format

Many advertisements were advised not to include a QR code and to maintain their original formatting. However, I ensured that each ad had a fresh approach by centring photos where necessary, spacing out elements, and incorporating more white space to create a cleaner overall appearance.

A frequent challenge was fitting in all elements regardless of the logo size, length of the levels of services blurb and sets of contact information that needed to be incorporated.

Individual Adverts (Selected)

I was also asked to create advertisements for Delmanor's seven communities. Similar to the corporate advertisements, I needed to ensure that all elements (including headers, logos, calls to action, contact information, and ad images) were arranged evenly throughout the layout.

Additional work involved using Adobe Photoshop to alter backgrounds. In some cases, specific photographs were preferred due to the residents depicted, but the background needed adjustments to better reflect the community being advertised.

Delmanor Aurora

Delmanor Aurora Advert - Be Our Guest  (Lunch & Tour)
The Auroran (April 3rd, 2025) (Page 23)

This advertisement is particularly special because it involved a lengthy process of carefully removing the original background and replacing it with a new one in Photoshop. The chef featured in the image was originally photographed at one of the restaurants at Delmanor Glen Abbey. However, since this advertisement is for Delmanor Aurora, it was necessary to place the chef in front of a restaurant at that location.

I did my best to make the chef appear as if he were truly present, standing at the front of the dining area. This involved carefully cutting him out of the original photograph to ensure a clean cut, as well as considering the scale of the chef to the objects in the background. Specifically, I wanted the chef and the chair behind him to seem like they were at a realistic distance from each other. He couldn't look too small or too big; he needed to appear as if he were genuinely standing in front of the chair, briefly posing for the photo before setting the plate on the table. The background was slightly blurred to keep the chef in focus.

Multiple advertisements were created for web pages, which direct visitors to the Delmanor homepage or to specific community sites, as shown in the advert above. Therefore, it was crucial for the 'Click to Reserve' button to be especially prominent in the layout.

Delmanor Northtown

Delmanor Northtown Holiday Market Advert
Connect (Fall 2024)

The Holiday Market advertisement was specifically designed for the Delmanor Northtown 2024 Holiday Market. I created a template from scratch, carefully focusing on emphasizing key elements while ensuring proper spacing and white space throughout, given the large amount of information that needed to be included.

The extensive amount of information about the event was particularly challenging to manage, making it extra important to highlight essential details such as the event title, community logo, and contact information. To maintain a seasonal feel, design elements included a multicoloured title, with 'Northtown' emphasized in a darker shade.

Version for Individual Communities

Version for Individual Communities

I was asked to create versions of this poster for both general advertisements (in newspapers and magazines) and display in Delmanor's communities. The purpose of this poster was to promote various ways to connect with Delmanor Communities, including through platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.

As QR codes (and user traffic monitoring) became standard in our corporate advertisements, we decided to incorporate them into these posters as well. Bright, lively and colourful elements were used throughout, including each code being colour-coded to match the brand colours of the respective platform it links to. The social media icons and symbols streaming out of the Delmanor-branded laptop visually illustrate the various ways users can interact with Delmanor's online content.

I also hoped for the poster to integrate smoothly with Delmanor's existing brand materials. This includes the soft, white waves background, standard footers, and the use of the font Bon Vivant to highlight keywords. In this particular poster, I decided the word 'Connect' should be emphasized.

These posters are examples of the many created for various events throughout the year. Careful consideration was given to different elements to achieve a modern, clean, and fresh look that would immediately attract the attention of passersby. Including high-quality imagery was vital in the overall assembly, contributing to a colourful and eye-catching layout.

The Holiday Market poster was specifically designed as an editable template. I created a static background using Adobe InDesign and then inserted that image into a Microsoft Word document. In this document, I added text boxes where the different communities could enter their information.

C.R.E.A.T.E Logo Drafts

One of the first campaigns I was asked to assist with was the launch of the C.R.E.A.T.E. program. I was responsible for creating the program's logo and the template for letters and news announcements.

The main task was to create a logo from scratch. The program's primary aim was to promote a sense of home for residents at Delmanor, "creating an experience" that feels welcoming. Consequently, symbols representing home and heart were key elements in each logo iteration. Two drafts, Logos #2 and #3 (illustrated above), focus more on the 'create' or imaginative theme of the C.R.E.A.T.E program, with certain shapes resembling thought bubbles or clouds. Logo #2 specifically combines this theme with the program's emphasis on 'love and support.' The shape surrounding the home symbol resembles both a cloud and a heart.

One of my favourites was Logo #4, which portrayed the program as the final puzzle piece that completes your experience at Delmanor. However, I was asked to simplify the design and emphasize the home and supportive aspects of the program. This led to creating a minimalist roof symbol with a heart-shaped window below it, representing the warmth and kindness fostered by the C.R.E.A.T.E. program. Additionally, I chose the Bon Vivant font for the logo’s bottom text to align it with most of Delmanor's promotional materials.

Delmanor's DelSpa wellness and beauty treatment centre needed a redesigned appointment card and gift certificate. My goal for DelSpa's new look was to incorporate Delmanor's branding guidelines while using standard spa imagery, including tranquil images and soothing colours. The light pink and rose red flowers surrounding the page offered soft, natural imagery while also integrating Delmanor's primary red brand colour.

I designed the logo and stickers for Delmanor's new Random Acts of Kindness initiative. I created square and circle-shaped stickers, but we ultimately decided on the circle-shaped ones for the final product. I recommended them for their sleeker appearance.

My goal for the logo was to align with the existing branding guidelines, including those of other campaign logos such as the C.R.E.A.T.E. program logo. Therefore, the logo features similar fonts, using Bon Vivant to emphasize the keyword “Kindness.”

These stickers were placed on gift bags, baskets, and cupcake boxes given to community members, including local health clinics, hospitals, police and fire departments, and senior and community centers, as part of the initiative.

Hockey Night at Delmanor

This request involved creating materials for the then-upcoming event, Hockey Night at Delmanor. The event would take place across various communities, where different National Hockey League superstars would make appearances. I was responsible for designing the logo and an editable poster template that could be used by the different communities.

Hockey Night at Delmanor Logo
(Fabric Prints)

I was asked to create a logo inspired by the Hockey Night in Canada logo. I aimed to incorporate its main elements while adding a Delmanor touch.

For consistency, the overall design was heavily inspired by the anniversary crest created for the last year's anniversary events. I aimed for it to convey a similar elegant, silver-clad aesthetic, reflecting the prestige of welcoming NHL icons and legends to Delmanor.

I also developed two versions of the logo tailored to their specific uses: the print and digital version features more details, such as a sparkly red border, while the fabric print version is simplified for easier printing.

The editable poster template was designed to include textboxes where different communities could input their information and event details, as well as placeholders for them to insert pictures of their logos and guests. To maintain consistency with existing branded materials, specifically Delmanor's corporate adverts with QR codes, red bars sliding out from the image placeholders were added to draw attention to the poster's central focus: the guest descriptions.

My goal was to evenly distribute all necessary information and design elements throughout the poster while ensuring an overall clean and organized layout.

DINING ROOMS & PUBS

DINING ROOMS & PUBS

Logos (Selected)

Nottinghill Pub Logo
The Richmond Hill Pub Logo

My task involved redesigning several logos for Delmanor's community dining rooms and pubs due to missing files. Some restaurants lacked proper logos, necessitating the creation of new ones from scratch.

I aimed to maintain a sophisticated look for all the logos by using serif fonts and relevant imagery, such as wine glasses, grapes, and food cloches. For Massey Pub and the Nottinghill Pub, I focused on creating a sketched, rustic feel. The logo for the Nottinghill Pub provided an opportunity to incorporate visual elements creatively; the overarching grape branch resembles a hill, which references the pub's name.

Menus (Selected)

Mocktails Menu

Black Alder Pub Menu (4.5 x 11) (Page 1)
Black Alder Pub Menu (4.5 x 11) (Page 2)

Black Alder Pub Menu (4.5' x 11')

In my work on the menus for Delmanor's eateries, my primary objective was to present the information in a neat, orderly, and easily readable format. This was particularly important when creating multiple versions of the same menu. I would produce one version with dimensions of 8.5" x 11" and another with the more traditional 4.5" x 11" sizing. Regardless of the dimensions, I prioritized ensuring that all the information was well-spaced while still fitting within the maximum number of pages.

One of my favourite projects was the Mocktails menu, where I had the opportunity to incorporate vibrant imagery and colours into the layout. I selected cocktail vectors illustrated in a charmingly sketchy style, complemented by tropical colours to enhance the overall theme.

Panel Cards

Bloom Cafe Panel Card #1
Bloom Cafe Panel Card #2

I created two options for the panel card needed for Bloom Cafe at Delmanor Wynford. My goal was to select background photographs that not only conveyed the calm, cozy, and relaxed atmosphere of the cafe but also featured bright colors and ample white space to accommodate text and the Wynford logo.

The second option, which included a photograph specifically chosen by the client, presented a challenge. The image was quite dark and had limited white space. To enhance legibility, I utilized the opacity and gradient feather features in Adobe InDesign to lighten the photo as needed.

RECIPES

RECIPES

Every year, a new set of recipe pages is created to add to the 'Culinary' section of each community's website. The original layout, which was in an 8.5" x 11" format created using Microsoft Word, felt outdated and simplistic. Therefore, a fresh and modern format was needed for each recipe as it was uploaded to the 'Culinary' page (under 'Sarah's Recipes') every six weeks.

My process began with receiving a rough outline in Microsoft Word, which was then assembled into a polished version using Adobe InDesign. This updated version was designed in a landscape format and used the Futura font, one of Delmanor’s primary typefaces. To enhance clarity, titles are highlighted, bolded, and expanded to properly separate different sections of information.

To further modernize the theme and layout, each recipe features a Polaroid-style photograph in the corner and includes a call to action encouraging users to share their finished dishes on social media, complete with hashtags that connect the recipe back to Delmanor Communities.

The recipes varied in both section and length, so it was important to arrange the information on the page in a way that flowed seamlessly, regardless of the amount of content that needed to be included. This process involved proofreading to eliminate any unnecessary text and adjusting the alignment of the different sections to ensure that everything appeared neat and organized throughout the recipe page.

Additionally, it was crucial to modify the font size of the title according to the available space, while still keeping it large and prominent in comparison to the other elements on the page.

Social Media Post Versions (Selected)

Grilled Veggie & Quinoa Salad with Feta (1080 x 1080 px)
Gingerbread Cake (1080 x 1080 px)

I was asked to create versions formatted for social media, specifically for Instagram (1080 x 1080 px). This required a complete reworking of the layout to ensure all sections and content fit neatly into the smaller format. Special attention was given to font sizing, making sure that it was large enough to be legible without occupying too much space.

Branzino Recipe (Website)
Chicken Piccata Canelloni with Pesto Linguine Recipe (Website)
Sunchoke Warm Salad Recipe (Website)

The majority of the 2025 recipes were quite lengthy, including their titles. This required a lot of creative thinking to fit them into the approved format from the previous year. I had to adjust the font size and formatting of each ingredient list to ensure that all sets of content fit into their designated sections.

Additionally, I considered the size of the corner image, slightly reducing it to create more space for the long titles. However, I made sure that the image remained large and prominent, regardless of the extra space needed.

EMAIL BANNERS

LIVINGWELL

I was tasked with creating various materials for Delmanor’s LivingWell program, which promotes healthy living among residents. The requested materials included panel cards, flyers, and a redesign of more than 50 editable poster templates. Throughout this process, I consistently ensured that the final products adhered to Delmanor’s brand guidelines and featured a fresh, modern layout with an appealing aesthetic.

General Materials

BeWell Poster Template
LivingWell Panel Card (Front)
LivingWell Panel Card (Back)

BeWell Poster Template

LivingWell Panel Card

The BeWell sector of the program focuses on promoting healthy eating and staying active. Therefore, the Team Wellness Session template would reflect BeWell’s bright and lively aesthetic, featuring sparkles bursting from the corners of the chart. I also ensured that BeWell’s colour scheme remained consistent throughout, incorporating hints of red in all elements.

For the LivingWell panel card, I aimed to create a format that resembled Delmanor’s corporate advertisements. It was essential to space out the elements adequately to achieve a clean yet informative layout, especially since a significant amount of imagery was requested for the final design.

Editable Poster Templates (Selected)

The creation of these templates was a long and challenging project. The originals were made ten years ago and required a significant update. I incorporated colour-coding and original vector images to design vibrant, expressive, and eye-catching layouts. This approach aims to enhance the often lengthy information in the posters without overshadowing the imagery.

The sample templates below showcase my original vector images, which I created by assembling, recoloring, and editing various vector graphics to produce detailed, aesthetically pleasing, and thematically appropriate visuals.

Notable examples include the ‘Gardening,’ ‘Therapeutic Paws,’ ‘Excursions,’ ‘Knitting,’ ‘Creative Kitchen,’ ‘Games,’ and ‘Visiting Vendor’ templates. These involved crafting entirely new and intricate scenes by combining multiple individual vector graphics. Editing, recoloring, and restructuring were essential in creating clear images that effectively conveyed the posters' messages. For instance, in the ‘Excursions’ poster, I transformed a standard school bus vector graphic into an accurate representation of the Delmanor Communities bus.

A common challenge I faced was finding vector graphics that matched in style, which helped make the assembly of images more seamless. Additionally, I often converted standard animated graphics of people into representations of senior citizens, the posters' target audience.

The sign-up sheet template demonstrates a thoughtful use of colour. The original version was functional but rather dull, featuring a simple chart without emphasis on the section titles or event details.

In the redesigned version, vibrant red highlights the poster’s title and the headers of the various columns in the chart. This choice ensures that, even from a distance, the eyes of passersby are drawn to the areas of the poster colored in red. Additionally, the red aligns well with the branding guidelines of LivingWell and Delmanor Communities.

WORKVIVO

WORKVIVO

I created the official style guide and graphics for Delmanor’s Workvivo employee experience platform, including the main and inner-page banners, icons, badges, and official flyers to be distributed to all prospective users within Delmanor’s workforce. Consistency in colour scheme and overall style was essential, so I often referred to the style guide I developed when new materials were needed, such as for newly created inner pages or ‘spaces.’

'Join Us' Letter

'Join Us' Letter

I was tasked with creating a flyer-style letter to introduce Workvivo to Delmanor’s employees. After developing our account's official style guide, I designed the flyer elements and formatting to align with the existing materials for our Workvivo page. This included using Delmanor’s red and white branding, adding fun decorative accents, and featuring screenshots of the final look of Delmanor's Workvivo page in the flyer's main imagery: mockups of the page view on laptop and iPhone platforms.

Concerning the overall design of the flyer, it was important to find enough space for all the necessary information while maintaining a clean, image-focused layout typical of traditional flyers. By making the imagery, including the QR code, large and prominent, the flyer would be prevented from appearing overly wordy. This approach created a more balanced and visually appealing design, making it more eye-catching to recipients.

Banners

Main Banners

Two primary banners were required for Delmanor’s Workvivo page: one for the main page and a default banner for users' profile pages. I closely followed Delmanor’s branding guidelines for both banners, as they would serve as the main visual representations of our page. The main banner features soft, flowing waves in shades of Delmanor red, while the default profile banner incorporates the standard Delmanor white waves.

I paid special attention to the design of the main banner, knowing it would likely be the first element users see upon logging in. Therefore, adhering to the branding guidelines was essential.

I was asked to design a specialized main banner for the 2025 spring season. My goal for this banner was to reflect the vibrancy and liveliness of spring. To achieve this, I planned to create a colourful and expressive outdoor scene filled with flowers and the insects and animals that often visit gardens. The process involved assembling, recoloring, and editing various vector graphics of suitable flora and fauna.

Space Banners (Selected)

These banners would serve as headers for the links to the inner pages of our site, referred to as ‘spaces.’ I realized that each banner needed a unique yet consistent layout to ensure neatness throughout the page. This involved assembling, recoloring, and editing thematic vector graphics to create appealing and suitable imagery for each banner. My goal was to keep the art style uniform across all the banners, which required using vector graphics with a similar minimalist aesthetic. Recoloring was particularly important to ensure that the banners complied with Delmanor's branding guidelines.

Space Icons

The icons would accompany the space banners to represent the different areas effectively. True to the nature of icons and symbols, those designed for our spaces would be simple and convey the message straightforwardly. A key aspect of this design was using light and dark greys for the space icons, which helped avoid an excess of red throughout the page. This choice also helped distinguish the space icons from the profile images used for the location spaces. The profile images featured the community logos in white against a vibrant Delmanor red background.

Final Look

Here are the mockups showing the final design of the space links on the 'Spaces' page. These mockups illustrate how each space banner was sized to fit the headers seamlessly and how the space icons do not distract too much from the banners.

Badges

Special Occasions & Messages

A significant feature of our Workvivo page would be badges that could be gifted among employees. These badges would be intended for various occasions, including birthdays, weddings, new baby arrivals, and simple giving of thanks. As with the space banners, the creative process involved assembling, recoloring, and editing thematic vector graphics to create vibrant, eye-catching, and high-quality images for each badge. I especially focused on using red and pink hues to match the Delmanor red prominent throughout our Workvivo page. Additionally, I aimed to create a cut-out or pop-up look for all the badges, evoking the feel of traditional greeting cards.

Additional aspects were considered, such as the appropriate use and manipulation of fonts, as well as the necessity of the masking tool in Adobe Illustrator to complete this layout. Fonts were selected based on the character of each badge. For instance, the 'You Rock' badge required large, bold, and slightly jagged lettering to convey the energy and excitement of the message. In contrast, the 'Thank You' badge called for an elegant, handwritten font to express the formality of expressing gratitude to the recipient.

Regarding the use of Illustrator's masking tool in these badges, it was particularly useful for making the background elements and imagery blend seamlessly into the layout. This tool was essential for ensuring that the placement of all elements appeared natural and cohesive in the final product.

Anniversary Badges

I envisioned a bright, gleaming design for the badges commemorating a recipient's years with the company, similar to the special occasion badges. To achieve this, I added a subtle ‘shine’ effect to the fonts and overlay of each badge, along with a regal, star-studded frame to enhance the formality of the overall look.

The shine in each badge's year number, in particular, was achieved by adding darker-shaded shapes and contours inside them, also creating a slightly three-dimensional look.

I also differentiated the framing styles between the milestone anniversary and yearly badges. The milestone anniversary badges feature surrounding palm leaves, which symbolize victory, integrity, and triumph.

The design of these badges closely resembles the space icons we created, featuring light and dark greys along with simplistic icons and symbols. Although the client specifically requested this style, I chose it primarily because the badges would appear small when given to recipients. To ensure that they would stand out from a distance, high-contrast colours and simple imagery were necessary.

Tip of the Week Graphic

The 'Tip of the Week' graphic had a significant influence on the design of the 'Join Us' letter, particularly the same background graphic used in the header of the flyer. As outlined in the process for creating the 'Join Us' letter, incorporating fun decorative accents was essential to convey the inviting and friendly atmosphere of Delmanor’s Workvivo page. These accents included social media-themed icons that represented the various communication methods available on Workvivo.

SOCIAL MEDIA

SOCIAL MEDIA

I was responsible for designing engaging materials for Delmanor’s social media platforms, particularly for holidays and company events. To facilitate easy access for team members, I primarily used Canva to develop these materials. The platform's user-friendly features greatly aided in producing high-quality reels.

Instagram Stories & Posts

I chose a red and pink colour scheme to align with the colours of Delmanor and Canada Day. Additionally, I included both the Delmanor white waves and the Canadian flag in the background, subtly blending them so that neither overshadowed the other. The most important aspect was the inclusion of Canadian symbols, such as animals and maple leaves cascading and trailing behind the hawk silhouette. The Delmanor Red Waves flowed among the animal silhouettes, complementing the looming Canadian flag and completing the overall scene.

I was asked to create two versions of the post: one for the standard Instagram square and another for the Instagram status update. I carefully reworked the format to ensure it fit both dimensions while maintaining consistency.

I was asked to create versions of a post for both the standard and status update formats on Instagram, similar to the Canada Day post. The standard version best reflects my vision, aiming for a spooky yet tranquil fall atmosphere overall. While I included some traditional Halloween imagery, such as a haunted house, grinning jack-o'-lanterns, bats, and a scarecrow, I made sure to choose a friendly, cuddly-looking scarecrow. I wanted to create an ambiance that feels more like early fall rather than Halloween specifically.

To enhance this serene atmosphere, I added a few surrounding trees, a pumpkin patch, and a full moon with stars above. I felt this approach was essential to resonate with Delmanor's older demographics and what would most appeal to them.

LinkedIn Reels - Celebrations & Special Events Mashup

Every four months, I would create a one-minute reel for LinkedIn that showcases all the holidays, events, and celebrations that have taken place. This process involved a lengthy search for quality symbols and vector images that accurately represent each event, as well as selecting graphics that I believed complemented the photographs I received.

I aimed to give these reels a scrapbook feel. I displayed the photographs in Polaroid-style frames, with pieces of tape at the corners and captions written in a marker-style font. The photos appeared scattered, as if they were placed haphazardly on a table, while the accompanying graphics resembled stickers.

For the animations, I focused on ensuring seamless transitions between each slide: elements fly in and out, while the background and the corner web address remain fixed until the Delmanor logo fades in at the end. Finally, I chose stock music that reflected the theme of the reel and aligned with the company’s overall identity.
